As the third-largest city in Arizona, with a population of 517,151 (2020 Census), Mesa has quickly become a dynamic hub for families to build roots in and businesses to thrive in. Our residents are diverse, tenacious and lively.
But in order for the city to continue flourishing the way it has, our community needs to know that Mesa is a safe and inclusive community for all — regardless of where folks come from.

This is our fight
Our community is safer and stronger when we protect each other from corporate greed and unchecked power. Our first step is to let Mesa City Council know that data centers, ICE, and inhumane detention centers have no place in our city.
Mesa is the only city in Arizona with a 287(g) agreement: a voluntary partnership between Mesa Police Department and ICE.
Mesa has 15 data centers and is looking to build more. Data centers directly impact our communities and are directly linked to mass surveillance software.
AROCC located at Mesa-Gateway Airport is actively housing detainees in inhumane conditions — a direct violation of human and immigrant rights.
