This Is Our Mesa

No Ice.

No Data Centers.

No Detention Centers.

This Is Our Mesa

We

Belong

Here.

We will keep fighting for our neighbors

as long as the sun rises in the East Valley.

This is our fight

Mesa City Council holds the power to end Mesa’s 287(g) agreement, stop the development of new data centers in Mesa, and enforce humane conditions at Mesa detention centers. Together, we hold the power to shape the city that we deserve.

Mesa is the only city in Arizona with a 287(g) agreement: a voluntary partnership between Mesa Police Department and ICE.

Mesa has 15 data centers and is looking to build more. Data centers directly impact our communities and are directly linked to mass surveillance software.

AROCC located at Mesa-Gateway Airport is actively housing detainees in inhumane conditions — a direct violation of human and immigrant rights.

We Envision

The City of Mesa ends its 287(G) MOA & Contract with the Department of Homeland Security and ICE.

1.

The City of Mesa shut down the Mesa-Gateway ICE holding facility and investigate all human rights abuses and mistreatment of immigrants and minors.

2.

An end to all deportation flights out of Mesa-Gateway Airport.

3.

Mesa City Council stops incoming data center zoning and expansion of the proposed NTT Data Center, and is transparent in their stance on environmental regulations.

4.

The NTT Data Center ends contracts that work with and host or sell sensitive data to the Department of Homeland Security & Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

5.
